This hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. the location was perfect - practically in front of the seaside, which made for breathtaking views from our room. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near a beautiful square and right next to the train station, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The basic amenities provided were excellent, and our room, with a great view and a terrace, was spacious and well-maintained. Lastly, the breakfast served at 5:45 was a delightful surprise, with a wide variety of options and delicious home made jam.
All aspects of our stay at this hotel were satisfactory.

This hotel is in a prime location, with everything you need within walking distance. The beach, yacht and fish harbours, as well as the railway and tram stations, are all just a short stroll away. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with some even offering a terrace and a view of the harbour. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfast, served from as early as 5:45, is delicious, with a variety of options including homemade jam.

Well-equipped room. Excellent continental breakfast. Great location near railway station and coastal tram. Reasonably priced bar with Trappist and Abbey beers. Lovely and helpful front desk staff. Clean and fresh-smelling room. Modern and spotless bathroom. Comfy bed. Good value for money.

During my Christmas stay, I enjoyed the great location of the hotel, which was very close to a train and tram station making it easy to explore the city. , the hotel offered a discount for a nearby car park which saved me a lot of money during my stay. the breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options to choose from.
The heating in the room was uncontrollable and made the room too warm, which really affected my sleep quality. the bed was too soft and didn't provide enough support which led to a very uncomfortable night.

stayed in ostend before, but du bassin impressed me. staff was amazing, room was new and clean, great location near beach and shops. loved the bar and restaurant! exceeded expectations on my golf trip.

We loved the convenient location, just a stone's throw away from the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the apartment was cute and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The TV channels were excellent, perfect for staying entertained on rainy days. The breakfast and food at the restaurant were both very good, providing plenty of options. As bike riders, we appreciated any bike-related facilities or activities provided.
We felt immediately at home at this hotel, with no reason to complain.
